My name is Madelaine Mongey and I am a ceramic artist based in Vancouver, BC. I graduated from Emily Carr University of Art & Design in 2013, where I studied drawing and never touched clay. I began making pottery in 2016 and I haven't stopped since. All of my forms are designed to have contemporary profiles and are finished with simple yet intriguing glazes. I love experimenting with atmospheric firing methods such as soda firing, wood firing, and raku. The handmade individuality of my pots makes each one a pleasure to use on a day to day basis.
All my pottery is food safe and microwave safe. Everything is dishwasher safe as well, though hand washing is recommended.
Please feel free to get in touch with me about any special commission work you have been thinking about.
